Starting a private practice for the first time is a huge learning experience. Penny has been an amazing supervisor who has helped me to focus my intention and guided me through each step of the process. Penny is a knowledgable and supportive supervisor, not only helping me with my business but improving my skills as a counsellor as well.
Penny has been my supervisor for over a year now. I have found the one-on-one and group supervision to be a safe and non-judgemental space. Her supervision has helped me to find peers to connect with, provided information on dealing with real struggles within the occupational field and helped build my confidence through altruism. Penny is a supervisor who is friendly, authentic, and her various experiences within the occupation makes her examples valuable and diverse.
From my first individual supervision session with Penny I felt comfortable sharing my ups and downs of my new private practice. Penny always provides a safe space to share, she is warm, fun,caring and extremely knowledgeable about all things in the counselling space.I have also attended her group sessions which I highly recommend. I’ve attended a few other group sessions but Penny’s group is the best run group session, where everyone feels included and are able to contribute.Having Penny’s support and encouragement I’m able to feel more confident in my skills as a counsellor.
The Fine Print
Reschedule / Cancellation Policy
Sessions are required to be paid in full prior to the commencement of the appointment unless prior arrangment has been made with Seasons of Life Counselling.
Up to 48 hours prior to session appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled at no charge.
Between 48 hours and 24 hours prior to session a fee of 50% will be charged for cancellations and rescheduling. Cancellations/rescheduling less than 24 hours or NO shows to appointment will be charged 100% of the fee.
Extenuating circumstances can be discussed with us and decisisions are at the owners discretion.
Packages Terms and Conditions
- Counselling packages are offered in packages of 10 sessions. Each session is 60 minutes in duration.
- ALL packages are paid for up front and a 10% only discount is applied
- All online purchases incur a credit card processing fee that is an additional cost and is NOT refundable
- Cancellation and reschedule policy applies to packages
- Counselling packages of 10 sessions must be used within 7 months of purchase or unused sessions will expire
- Prices are fixed for the term of the package only. Clients will be notified of price increase by email at least 14 days prior to the increase being implemented.
Refunds
- Please note there are NO refunds for services that have already been provided
- Cancellations in accordance with our cancellation policy will be refunded (less credit card processing fee via Stripe) and can take up to 7 working days to process.
- Packages of counselling: refunds for these will ONLY be issued for those sessions that have not been used. This is also subject to the reschedule/cancellation policy
- Refunded portions of unused packages will incur a 10% administration fee – this will be deducted from the refund.
- Request for refunds for unused package sessions must be made in writing to Penny Adams of Seasons of Life Counselling at least 7 days prior to the next scheduled session, detailing the reasons for your request.
- Credit card processing fees will NOT be refunded
- Refunds on packages will NOT be considered for change of mind
How our counsellors and practioners work
Please note: all counsellors/practitioners that provide services through and as part of Seasons of Life Counselling team are independent sole practitioners who hold their own business ABNs and Insurance. Your practitioner will hold your confidential client case notes and these will remain in their possession, whether they remain at Seasons of Life Counselling or cease their contract with us. Seasons of Life Counselling / Penny Adams is not liable for practitioner conduct or case notes. This information is outlined in more detail in the client counselling agreement you recieve upon booking with us.
Supervision for student counsellors
One hour supervision sessions online via Zoom for student counsellors who are doing their undergraduate or post-graduate degree and require supervision as part of that qualification.
*this does not include general study or professional development for qualified registered counsellors

Supervision for ACA Provisional Members
One hour supervision sessions for provisional members of ACA. These members are those whose Diploma did not meet ACA requirements and they are required to complete additional supervision to reach level 1 membership.

Supervision ACA Registered Counsellors
One hour supervision sessions for counsellors who are registered with ACA and who are working either in employment or private practice.

Group Supervision for ACA Members
Group supervision is run once per month for ACA members. It is open to anyone, however it does have a general focus on private practice, business development and support.
When: Wednesday evenings once per month
Time: 7 pm – 9 pm AEST/AEDT
Please note that due to ACA requirement we are limited to 10 people per session.
